About Us

We are a small and professional language school in the center of Segovia just meters aways from the historical Roman Aqueduct.  In combination we have over 35 years teaching experience with professional and qualified personnel.  Our objective is for our students to learn feeling comfortable in class and learning in a fun and enjoyable manner.  Our main goal is to make sure that all the students feel as if they are in a friendly a family atmosphere which will then allow them to open up and learn more.

We are a dedicated group of American teachers who only want the best language teaching of the english language in Segovia.

 History

Centro Ingles Segovia started over 25 years ago in the Main Square of Segovia.  Over the 25 years it has expanded and has had over 250 students per year.  As the time passed and oswers changed the methodology has changed for the better.  The new owner Rachel Arzaga is an American from San Diego California but born in Segovia, Spain.  Her mother is a native of Segovia from San Millan neighborhood.  Over the many years for visiting her grandparents for summers Rachel had grown a passion for Spain and the Segovian people and culture.  After receiving her BS in International Business from the University of Phoenix she started working for major sportswear company, after 10 years she changed her job to a major dental supply comany as Operations Manager.  After working more than 12 years in the dental industry she wanted a change and decided to move to Segovia and embark in a new career...TEACHING.....something that she realized is something that she loves and since then has dedicated her professional career as a teacher.  In 2011 she purhcased the academy and since then the academy has changed in the sense that quantity of students is not important it is the QUALITY.
